Tropical rain forests, or jungles, cover most of the southern states in Mexico, like Veracruz, Chiapas, Mérida, Tabasco and Quintana Roo.

In any of these states it’s easy to find a secluded spot, a village or town surrounded by jungle. In these areas you can also find mangroves, marshes, and savannahs.

Central and southwestern states have pine and oak forests that can be suitable for film or photo shooting. There are also some pine forests near the mountains in northern Mexico.

Both jungles and forests are home to many indigenous animal species.
