Mexico is known worldwide for its beautiful beaches.

Our country has beaches at the Pacific Ocean, Caribbean Sea, Gulf of México and Gulf of California. Most beaches will have a city with a resort area, so access, lodging, transportation and other services pose no problem for a production in the region. Virgin or rural beaches are a short drive distance from any coastal city.

Some of the most popular Mexican beaches face the Caribbean Sea, where Cancun, Cozumel, Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Holbox, Isla Mujeres and the Mayan Riviera are located. In the area you’ll also find cenotes, which are underground water caverns, whose ceiling fell down to form natural sinkholes. Access to these locations is fairly simple by air, since Cancun’s airport is the second busiest in Mexico, with direct international flights from the USA, Canada, Europe and Central and South America. There is also equipment and crew readily available in the area, but for big productions or special needs, equipment must be brought from Mexico City or Miami.

The Pacific Ocean coastline also provides a wide array of locations, such as beaches and shorelines that offer some of the best sunsets in the world. Cities like Acapulco, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, Sayulita, Rosarito, Manzanillo and many others along the Pacific Coast, not only provide beautiful beaches, but also charming traditional town scenarios, ideal for any film or photo shoot. Equipment and crew is limited in some cities and may need to be brought from Guadalajara, Monterrey or Mexico City.

The Gulf of California is a body of water between the Baja Peninsula and Mexico’s mainland. This gulf is known for having some of the most beautiful virgin beaches in Mexico as well as a very rich marine wildlife. It is a hot spot for fishing and diving enthusiasts. In the area you’ll also find harsh deserts next to the beaches. Some of the cities in the gulf coast are Guaymas, Puerto Peñasco, Loreto, La Paz and Mulegé. Some cities may not as accessible as others. Equipment and crew is very limited in the area and may need to be brought from Guadalajara, Monterrey or Mexico City.

At the Gulf of Mexico, you’ll also find many beaches suitable for any production. With a more tropical landscape around them, the beaches in Veracruz, Tabasco, Campeche and Merida provide a unique look that you’ll not find anywhere else in Mexico. Access is easy for areas near the largest cities. Equipment and crew is limited in some cities and may need to be brought from Monterrey or Mexico City.
